Dear Caputo Family,

I have known Jimmy since we attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School in Orange together in the 1940s. We graduated Orange High School in 1957 and I last saw him at our 50th class reunion at the Ramada in East Hanover in October 2007. Although we drifted apart in recent years I always counted him as a good friend. He was a good, honest and decent family man. Please accept my deepest apologies because I was unable to attend his wake as I was on vacation in Europe and only found out of his passing from a high school friend upon my return. And please accept my deepest and sincerest sympathies for your loss.

To the Caputo Family:

I am very sorry to hear about your father and husband's sudden passing.

I have many fond memories of growing up on Fay Drive and will never forget Mr. Caputo whistling to the kids - Maria, Danny, Linda, Valerie and Carma - to come in at night!

Just this summer I had the opportunity to catch up with Mr. Caputo and his new wife for a few minutes and he expressed to me how happily married he was and encouraged me to do the same!

I'll be praying for you.

God Bless,

Dan M.
